Sasuke & Sakura: An Analysis
Chapter 26
Sasuke's Pride in Sakura's Ability
During Team 7's wartime reunion, Sakura performs an impressively large-scale and destructive attack, causing a huge earthquake that destroys several enemies at once. Naruto, who has hung around Sakura for the past year and witnessed her strength firsthand during that time, is nonetheless totally shocked by her power. Even he hadn't realized she was so strong.

Sasuke, however, smiles smugly with prideful confidence and is completely unsurprised, looking like he'd always known all along that Sakura had the ability to be that strong. He is evidently pleased to witness that she has reached her potential.

Unlike the alarmed Naruto who was startled and comically frightened that Sakura could ever have possessed so much power without him knowing, Sasuke showed longstanding confidence in Sakura, fully believing that she could be as incredibly strong as she had become so long as she worked for it. Now in the war Sasuke is quite pleased and smugly impressed to see that she had finally reached her potential. Naruto responds with comedic fear, like a child afraid of crossing a fearsome and strict adult, whereas Sasuke's response is respect for a mutual warrior as he proudly observes that Sakura has become a powerful shinobi in her own right that doesn't need his protection. Meanwhile Naruto hadn't been so certain in Sakura's strength on her own terms nor as well-acquainted with Sakura's potential.

A moment later, Sasuke tells Naruto not to drag "us" down, an interesting grouping of him and Sakura together as a team and excluding Naruto as the one weighing them down. Not that there is necessarily a ton to his line, but it's an interesting line nonetheless.
